I just installed long tube headers on my 2016 Mustang GT (automatic, premium), and now:
  • Steering wheel buttons are dead — horn doesn’t work, paddle shifters don’t work, and the button backlights are off.
  • Airbag light is on.
  • Hill Start Assist light keeps coming on, even though I have an automatic.
  • Drive mode and traction/AdvanceTrac work intermittently.
  • Blinkers, wipers, and other column functions still work normally.
During the install, the header pulled down the front driver side O₂ sensor and hung . Could this be related to?

What’s the fastest way to check/fix this without replacing parts blindly?
I’m not good at electrical issues please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you

I have not installed long tube headers but did you need to remove the steering shaft? If so did you make sure the steering wheel can't turn while it was disconnected? If the steering wheel spun freely it could of damaged the clock spring. All the functions you have run through it.

I was able to get a clockspring from a junkyard 2013 fusion and it fixed the issue thanks
