Hello All Mustang 6G Enthusiasts,

You asked & Steeda listened ... we are happy to announce our revised Steeda Subframe Alignment Kit that will work in conjunction with the CB005.

The S550's subframe mounting holes are very large compared to the subframe mounting bolts.

Since there is a large difference in bolt and hole size, the subframe can be mis-aligned from the factory up to 1/2" left to right. The Steeda S550 Mustang IRS Subframe Alignment Kit is made from CNC-machined Delrin to avoid putting two dissimilar metals next to each other like the competition, preventing corrosion.

Delrin is also less weight than aluminum or steel inserts and therefore keeping performance in mind. The Delrin sleeves slide into the subframe mounting holes, and fill the extra space left between the subframe mount and bolt from the factory.

Our Steeda S550 Mustang IRS Subframe Alignment Kit guarantees that the subframe will be bolted to the same location every time it is lowered. Eliminating the need for unnecessary alignments.

Product Benefits
- Easy to install
- No permanent modifications
- Correctly align the rear end
- Aligns rear ends with BMR CB005 Kit
- No increase in NVH
- Made in the USA

Note: An alignment is needed upon initial installation, due to the fact it could have been mis-aligned from the factory and with it now being squared in the chassis, some adjustments might need to be made. This part is designed to fit with BMR CB005 Kit.

Best Regards,

TJ

Boom! Look at that!

Good work guys. We will put off offering these for a while, looks like you guys are on it!

Love the choice of the Delrin. Say no to galled aluminum on the subframe bolt threads.

Those delrin sleeves makes a significant difference in muting some of the gear whine noise associated with the Steeda differential kit. I'm sure more so when installing the front half sleeves.

For those of us with the older kit, what is the difference?

The front alignment sleeves are shorter; designed to work in conjunction with the CB005 bracket which in itself has the "other half" machined in.

would this be compatible if I have the CB005 AND BMRs delrin cradle bushings? or are the cradle bushings already essentially what this does?

Damn, I have the older version of the alignment kit as well as the CB005 that I have yet to install. Didn't know they weren't compatible

Me too :(

Can we modify them ourselves to fit?

Same issue here, very interested to see if we can modify the old one.

Next time I place some orders, these will be on the list. I meant to order them when I did all of the bushings and had brain failure. Once I had the subframe dropped I looked for them and was like..oh damn!

I believe so, yes. I think you have to cut 0.5" off the fronts, IIRC.

Kelly BMR Tech or tj@steeda, is that what it is?

Can I quickly fix this...?

I think you need hours of CADD iterative design cycles, thousands of miles of street driving, hundreds of laps of race experience...and then you cut 1/2" off the front bushings, maybe even chamfer the edges too.

Depends on the version you have.

With the Gen 1 CB005, you cut 1" off the front alignment sleeves.

With the Gen 2 CB005, you cut 1/2" off the front alignment sleeves.

It is as simple as, remove the CB005 locating arms...measure how tall the centering insert is on the arm (the part that goes inside the OEM bushing sleeves) - and cut that same amount off of the centering sleeves.
