I cut two pieces of toolbox tray liner, about 1/8" thick, to attach to the bottom of the pedestals to take up that gap and protect the paint. Be careful, if you over tighten at all, the trunk will dent, that aluminum is very flimsy!I have seen some videos of close up installations of this, the pedestals that mate with the trunk show see thru gap on some installs even with bolts tightened, would some sort of foam cushion or adhesive liner between the post and the trunk surface be possible to make it appear solid with no gaps of the posts that are bolted onto the trunk? I know this is functional so maybe it is more of a functional piece over fitment in the appearance department?
Here is an example of another pedestal spoiler that comes with a foam outline that keeps shape with the pedestal and seals off any possible gap and also protects the trunk paint, maybe Steeda could try throwing something like this in for future wings?

I love this wing, my soon to be ready track mustang build is nearly all steeda built and honestly I'm confused why this wing is almost 1k now when just 2-3 years ago it was on sale for $459.
