Any know if the X4 is compatible with the US tunes?
Thought I saw somewhere that it wouldnt read... Could be wrong?

Hi Coyqte the SCT X4 US 7015 Ford isn't compatible with the EU/AU mustang.
If you buy one from the US you have to send it back to SCT and they will unlock it like a phone then any file can be load onto the SCT X4.

David at Steeda on this forum knows a lot about it and what can be done to get the SCT X4 to work also Torrie from unleashed tuning can help he can be contacted via the forum contact name tmcphail
Unfortunately you have to buy one and hope that it works if it does your lucky if not then mail it to SCT to get it unlocked.

Thanks mate. I've just been emailing Rod at Steeda lol. He wasnt sure.
Think I might just go the cold air intake to start with and then see what happens in time, I'm sure they will sort it.

My tuner in Sydney is going the Hellion twin turbo way. He is a distributor for SCT for BA-FG. Dont know what he is going to use, but I am sure whichever one he does, he will sell via his web shop. Will ask him.

Spoke to my tuner and he has been advised that Aussie bought units will work on the Aus sspec mustang. USA units will not.
He is not sure about US tunes, but feels thay wont. As their fuel is different, climate is diferent considers to many variables to stuff up.
His car is still a month away, however he has the crate motor and turbos and wil soon start the build. The next step is enginering and emission compliance
