First post on the forum.

I bought my 17 GT from an Autonation Ford Dealership exactly 4 weeks ago 9/7. It had 29,991 miles on it when I picked it up.

4 days after I bought 9/11 it the outside temp here (NE Ohio) dropped below 60 for the first time and when I started the car the starter button was very firm/sticky and the wrench light came on. I emailed my salesperson and let him know what was happening that day.

I took it in a few days later to let them scan it and they said it had a code for the starter button staying in the on position. Guy than scanned it said he’d like me to bring it in when the light was on (what I work and the temps fluctuating I never really had a chance to do so).

I finally made an appointment just to drop it off and let them look at it (10/4). I also had an oil leak and a clunk. They said Ford warranty would take care of the leak (VC gaskets) and clunk (trans mount). But said not even their 90 dealer warranty would cover the button because it’s all part of the FCIM.

Does this sound right to you guys? This is my first time I’ve ever spent this kind of money on a vehicle of any type.

Thanks

You need to read your warranty closely. It will tell you exactly what is and what isn’t covered. Beyond that you can speak to a manager and see if they are willing to work with you on the repair.

This may help……
