Removal could be a challenge with the ecoboost ....good luck and post pics!!:cheers:
Actually it shouldn't be such a challenge, the European cars don't have the Active Grille Shutters.

My only concern is how to remove the stock emblem on the front grille without breaking the tabs that hold it in place. I would like to be able to put it back if needed, without using double tape.

Watch the video...if you have big hands remove the hood latch....reach in to find the pins...break them off is the only way. I used a towel in the hole for the broken tips and metal retainers...or as the video shows use a telescopic magnet.

Stanginator installs with tiny locknuts...I used a long socket..(only the socket)

Good Luck

Removing front pony emblem without breaking tabs

So Rickycardo was kind enough to contact me. It is absolutely possible to remove the front pony emblem without breaking a single tab! What I did is explained below, after following the instructions of Rickycardo:

After removing the radiator cover, simply reach for the tabs behind the grille that retain the pony in place. My Mustang is a 2017 EcoBoost and I have very easy access to the back of the grille after removing the radiator cover (maybe because there are no Active Grille Shutters in my European Mustang). Using your fingers (or the back of a small screwdriver or any other tool with a flat head) push the tabs back out, pushing each tab a little bit at a time. Do the same to all tabs. Take small steps each time, don't rush, you have to be patient. It seems that the tabs are tapered, so the more you push them out the easier it becomes.

I took my front pony emblem out already, it took about 10 minutes to do it.

For those who haven't done it yet, the picture below shows the 4 tabs that retain the pony in place:

Now you can put a new emblem on your grille and keep the original one as well, in case you want to put it back on or even sell it! :headbang:

I will post pictures after I install the Stanginator in a few days.

By the way, I removed mine from the rear because it was impossible to keep clean.

Just installed the Stanginator! I had to use a drill in order to widen the holes where the previous pony was sitting, because the studs on the Stanginator were a bit wider and slightly miss-placed. Other than that, all good. I show two pictures with different lighting conditions :headbang:

This is officially the first Stanginator in Greece!
