A little help from the experts please. I have 3 JL 83v3 woofers on hand and am considering building a box for them. The amp to be used would be a JL xd 600/6, bridged into a 3 x 200watt configuration. The downside is that it only has a 12dB slope crossover and I would prefer a 24dB slope on the bass.

Can you use an external crossover at 12dB and the amps internal at 12dB for a 24?

A YouTube video by Sonic Electronics showed a version of this using the head unit and amp.

Thank you!

In some DSPs you're doing it just this way to get a 24db slope for a crossover, but, this is digital, and not analogue and who knows that they have programmed into the DSP software to make this work.
