Hi all,

I have a 2017 GT PP, and recently installed the Eibach Sportline Lowering Spring Kit.

While I have to admit, the car looks fantastic, and i actually don't mind the extra feel to the road with the bumps and what not. But once I'm at or over 70mph, it's just to much. Very bumpy and not a comfortable ride.

Can anyone vouch for this? Should an alignment fix this?
I was also told that the Eibach springs don't go well with the factory PP shocks, and this could be causing it? Also heard BMR springs (not sure which ones) work great with the factory PP shocks?

I'm at information overload, if anyone has had similar experiences please let me know what you did! Thank you!

Always need an alignment after lowing springs. And a good precise one, not one that just makes green colors on an alignment machine. With those springs, I'd get Koni Yellow or Steeda Pro-Action dampers. Steeda Pro-Action Fixed dampers will be perfect.

Good luck!

Also, check your bump stop clearance at curb. You need at least one inch.

This has been the culprit in many cases with the Eibach sportline springs.

If you have any further questions please pm me.

Noob question. How do you check bump stock clearance at curb?

All true. See additions underlined.

The lack of comfort is because the Sportline rates are a bit much for the stock shocks and struts and because they require the use of their bumpstops in the rate. It makes for a crappy ride no matter what.

I had the sport lines, never installed them, after seeing some reviews, especially this you tube post, sold them and went with bmr 089/082 which is the sp763 kit. This kit works great with pp shocks, and bumpstops.

Thanks man, that helps a lot. Well, I don't want to go buy shocks and struts, already spent too much damn money already lmao. Looks like it's back to the garage to swap out to some BMR's that will work well with the factory shocks and struts.

Time well spent. Would recommend Steeda's billet rear shock mounts while you're at it. They significantly improve body oscillation/bounce and make the ride more supple.

One more thing, follow the BMR instructions and cut bumpstops accordingly. Most likely you don't "need" to cut them, but do it anyways (at least check it).

I would also consider the BMR CB005 while you're redoing the rear springs, doesn't take much additional effort.

Howdy neighbor! :)

All of the above information is true, Sportlines are really more about looks than ride quality/handling. I have the BMR SP089/082 combo on my EB, and the wife and I both prefer the handling/ride quality with these + 19x10 wheels vs. stock setup.

IMO, sell the Sportlines, and pick up one of the BMR setups. You won't regret it.
