Felt like driving in sport mode on the highway. Shifted into sport while getting on the on-ramp and started to floor it. Car went into redline territory - at least 6500. I did NOT use the paddles. I thought the car was supposed to stay in automatic until you use the paddles. I put it back into drive immediately. Any possibility of engine/transmission damage.? 2018 Ecoboost with 59k and always 93 gas. Transmission recently serviced. Car was already driven about 10 miles/warmed up.
