So I’ve got a 17 401A (shaker pro) and have been digging around for the past week and can’t find anything concrete to help me make my choice on upgrading speakers. I want to start out by replacing the rear speakers since I’m doing some work and already have the rear seats out anyways. I believe they are 2 ohm 6.5 but crutchfield only gives 4 options and of course most are out of stock and others say the mounting depth is too large. So what speakers will fit me with a budget of roughly 150 for those speakers. Next what are good options for the rest of the speakers and subs. Also what adapters do I need to make it all plug and play. Preferably I’d also like to stay away from amps for the time being just mostly interested in getting quality speakers more than sound but any improvements would also be nice.

Depending if you have the midrange speaker in the door you will need the following:

wiring adapter for the speakers. Right now Crutchfield only shows for the midbass in the lower door. You will need to make your own for the midrange and tweeter. I think they have the rear speakers.

You will need adapter plates for mounting the new speakers. Crutchfield has the lower midbass and rear speakers.

As far as speakers, you should really go to a shop or Best Buy and listen to them before you buy. Everyone hears differently. Alot of things are out of stock on Crutchfield due to COVID, which sucks.
