Hi guys,

Need some advice here.

I have gone through many existing posts but still can't decide.

I bought the car back in March, 2015 GT .

Car had Dunlop Sport Maxx 245/40R20 in front and 275/35/R20 rear. Front tires already badly damaged so I changed them the next day with 245/40R20 Falken fk510. So far I did 7000 KM with Falkens and I'm happy with them in general. But my rear tires are gone. Car barely has any grip.
First it was fun but eventually it started to become scary. I cant push the pedal in any turns as car losses the rear right away.

So now time for a new rear tires:
Instead of 275/35/R20 can I go with any bigger size like 285/35/R20 or more ?
Second , I'm happy with Falken's in front but seeing how little grip I have on the rear I might just spend more and get Pilot sports on the rear . So whats your opinion of this mixing tires?

Car is a daily driver, no track days it has stock suspension and we have max 2-3 days of rain over here so I'm fine with a summer tyre .

Thanks

How wide are your rear wheels?

in general, nobody recommends mixing and matching tire types. For one thing, handling can be unpredictable as different tires respond differently to changing conditions. You’re probably not wanting to buy 4 tires tho… idk man. This is why I love square setups… replacing front and rear tires at different times means you’re never on same condition tires. Either the fronts are half old or the rears are half old. Its a sucky pattern to get into.

thanks makes sense...
then I'll stick with Falkens as fronts only did ~4000 miles. I will buy the same for the rear .
How about the overall size I have 275/35R20 which sizes I can try if I want to keep similar height
