First off I love the way this exhaust sounds! I have had the MBRP race and street before this one. Mach thunder is just awesome, it is deep and loud compared to MBRP that i previously had. The quality on sound and fit is amazing. The MBRP race had a deep sound but would rasp just a tad bit at the higher RPMs. Also drone was killer going up hills and cruising I would get a very slight headache. The MBRP street had a deep tone at idle and low RPMs, but once it hit higher RPMs it was really raspy. The street had no drone what so ever. My car is also pretty low on coil overs and where I would scrape on the MBRP coming out of my driveway, I don't scrape with solo.
Driving with the solo you don't get any drone. You can hear it since it is just a small muffler, but I was able to have my radio volume setting at 7 and still be fine. Going up a slight hill the exhaust does get a little louder, but still no drone. I was expecting it to be really loud from what people have said, but it's actually really tamed with stock cats. Can't wait to get headers to open her up more. If you are in the market for a new exhaust I would definitely look into this one.

Here is a small video shot with a galaxy 6s, it doesn't do justice.

Sounds really good. What do you think of the J-pipes; can you see them and do they look weird?

I had the MBRP street and hated it; the rasp killed me. I almost pulled the trigger on the Magnaflow Street today, but saw your post.

I've now owned the macheck thunder for 800 miles. After break in the sound develops so much better. At first I was pretty disappointed, but after about 500 miles, my god! Thr deep, mellow, refined sound is exactly how I wanted it to sound. I missed the sound of LT's, X, and stingers on my cobras, and this is about as close as you can get to that sound on a s550

Can't even tell the j pipes are there unless you look under the car.I sold my street cause of the WOT sound. I'm glad I picked up this system you won't be disappointed. I was going to pick up some MagnaFlow competition but was afraid of the drone.

Awesome can't wait for a little break in. I don't drive the car everyday so 500 miles might be a bit. However, I'll give it a good work out on the 26th when I do some time attack.

tell me about that J pipe...never seen that before.

I can tell you that my buddy who is a high end sports car guy looked under mine with the Solo and said "cool". Sorry, that's all I got.

I have been watching so vids on the Solo systems. They sound pretty loud, I was really trying to compare the XV vs the Magnaflow Street.

Anyone know if this is a valid comparison based on volume?

I felt no gains at all with the mach thunder. Not to say there are no gains, but you won't really feel 10 whp in a 3700-3800lb car lol.

Mach Thunder is the quieter one? Sounds awesome.
Any performance gains?
The XV is the quiet one; I saw a video of the XV on youtube and it sounded loud.

I love my Solo Performance Mach Thunder! Got rid of my Gibson exhaust for it. Couldn't be happier with it. I love the little kid in the background haha. My boys are obsessed with my car :D

Funny thing about the mach thunder. Because of the innovative j pipes, on the inside there truly is no drone. So, that being said, it feels as if your car is quiet as hell, quite the contrary. I had a friend drive it by me, crusing, then wot, and whoa! I had no idea it was that loud. You can't tell at all from the inside. It's no corsa extreme, loudmouth, or mbrp race in volume, but I'd compare it to borla s type or corsa sport, but with a much more rich and refined tone.
