Here's a vid from inside my car with the windows down of me driving it hard for a data log. Ive gotten a billion compliments on how it sounds. As said, cruising, no drone, a little deep, and you can tell not stock. Open it up and it'll sound just like the name of it says "Mach Thunder". video still doesn't do justice. My car has cats too.

I wish we could get a group by going for a Solo Cat back system... I missed the 15% sale they were having earlier this year.
I missed out, too. I will state....this is worth every penny of the $878.50 I paid. It's a work of art out of the box and under the car. Money well spent. Just buy it:D

Out of curiosity, which version did people go for, the quiet version or standard (louder) version?

Is there much of a difference (sorry if this has been asked before)?

Both are very popular systems. We can help with either. Call if you have any questions

The Mach XV makes a lot less noise inside but gets loud outside especially after 3000 rpm. Thunder is loud always and louder inside of the car.

There is a poll here, it's pretty much 50-50% for the Mach-Thunder and the Mach-XV...

The Mach XV is a touring/sport system, the Thunder is louder, I would compare it to the Borla Attak volume-wise...

If you want the loud one, Thunder.
If you want the medium one, Mach XV.
If you want a quiet exhaust, get an H pipe and keep the stock mufflers.

I've had both. Thunder makes much more noise in cabin and the Mach, after break-in, sounds louder than stock but when just cruising you don't notice anything but a sort of burble in the ambient background unless you press the gasoline injector pedal. The Thunder there was always a great noise, even cruising on the highway (just more than I cared for), so that's biggest differentiator. Both have the same tones and characteristics outside of the car just that the Mach isn't as loud and is a little "smoother" ... it can't be heard for as long as the car is driving away. The Mach doesn't make as loud of the occasional pops/cracks during downshifts and higher RPM but slow speed gear changes. Also, the Thunder is lighter overall. The Thunder got guys stopping next to me asking if I had headers and asking me to rev it. The Mach gets guys saying, "man that sounds good" and ends up in a conversation, not a demonstration. It's like the two attract a different crowd. At a car show, the Thunder is fun to rev and calls a crowd quickly. The Mach will do the same thing but isn't so loud that people start covering their ears so they don't come over wanting you to rev your engine so they can hear "the loudest exhaust they've ever heard". You see where I'm getting?

I have the solo Mach XV, it's an incredible sounding system. Honestly think it rivals the sound of any exhaust for the mustang at any price point. No brainer when compared to the MBRP

They have 3 versions, unless that has changed recently, the Thunder is the middle version...the Street Race is the loudest

I'm considering the pros and cons of both of these two catbacks.

Add me to the Mach Thunder group of supporters. I wanted an exhaust loud enough to hear it even when cruising at steady throttle. Quiet enough to be able to nearly silence it with very slight throttle opening when passing cops, loud enough to scare children at WOT and since I have convertible no drone. I didn't think all that was possible but they have achieved that with this exhaust.

Sorry, it is not even a question between the Solo vs. MBRP. The build quality of the Solo, coupled with it sounding amazing is all you need to know. If you're nervous about J-pipes or a mid-mounted muffler, don't be.
