Sold my 16 Tech bought a 17

So after the frustration with all the transmission, Carplay, etc I started just looking around to see if I could find a 17 in my Race Red with OTT White Stripes. Was not sure how serious I would get depending on the deal and how far I had to go.

Fast forward to an email blast from my local dealer saying come see the 17 Shelby we just got in. I look at the inventory and and the sticker and see that it is a Race Red with OTT White stripes comfort seats.

Went in today to see what would happen. First thing it was saved for a Fleet customer, but had backed out. Then they wanted 10k over, said no thanks these are MSRP now Well all said and done we worked out a MSRP deal and I got a decent trade in for my miles. I lost a few thousand from the ADM I paid on the first car (If I had just been patient!).

With the help of this site got the finance guy and started working on Warranty and ESP. Immediately showed him Flood and he shook his head and sold both to me for the Flood price. So I was happy about that. Car had just been unloaded and parked all the stickers and packing was still on it. They handed me the keys as is and I now have it in the garage waiting to go to my PPF guy to paint correct it, wrap it and CQuartz it.

Now the question is, am I eligible to go to the Track Attack again??!!

Yup that is the one, they had it hid in the fleet building on that floor still in shipping wrapped.

Yup the money I lost, it is a wash for me. To add the track items to get near the 17 would have cost me about the same if not a little more than what I lost, plus I hated to change the stock build of the car.

I traded my 16 350 tech ( paid $2K under MSRP ) 5 months ago for a 15 Z51 vette and paid no tax. Got $57K for the 350. Traded the Vette I month ago and got a used 350 track for $57K taxes were minimal. It all worked out really well with very little loss. I was going to keep the Vette for a while but the black 350 just popped up and could not pass on her. Got good money for the Vette.

This is the deal on the original 350 tech car. New 16 Vette paid $52,300 Trade value $54,777 KBB. Got the 350 for MSRP. $58K. Ended up with about $2K under MSRP. The main reason was the 16 Z51 Vette sold for $9500 under MSRP and Kelly blue book was $54,777. Never had this happen before. The doc fees did not help though.

Just got it yesterday and with 4 miles on it went immediately to my PPF guy to get it wrapped, so no time in it yet other than a good check and quick few block drive to make sure everything was functioning at the dealership.

PPF install is right at the top of my list as well. Please let us all know what you think after you've had a chance to drive it.
