Finally got some downtime to play mad scientist with fun electronic glowing things! Time for pictures.

Best one first! (Glowing in my closet bc the sun is still out)

Oooh? You say you don't like pink? Gender assumptions aside, lets try this smoke translucent tint. And no dimming at all!

I considered LEDs, but the problem is it would be really tough to get even light distribution. These light up panels provide much brighter, more even light with basically no power consumption. The biggest issue is cutting these things. They're a sandwich of a few layers and they start to delaminate (layers separate) if you're not careful. You can see some dim spots in that last picture - that's why. I've sent out for quotes from a few companies to see if this shape can be tailor made from the factory. That or laser cutting and hope the edges are sintered shut in the process.

I thought it would be ricey/tacky but it is subtle enough not to be obnoxious like that. I'd be definitely interested in a blue or white version.
