Tie it into the interior dimming... Or better yet, throttle position..... Just saying...
Throttle position... YES! not sure it's doable but that would be awesome!

I passed a merc last night with the back-lit emblem... this needs to become available soon! I had either never seen or at least never noticed one before but that looks awesome at night!!

Quick update-

I love all the interest in these. I've worked through a half a dozen ideas on this guy. The other day, I actually had a long discussion with my coworkers about the best way to light these haha.

These glow strips are awesome stuff, give a very vivid even glow, but being so new, their longevity is not as established as LEDs. The life expectancy I've seen quoted so far is roughly half that of LEDs. Still in the thousands of hours, but I'd really like to create a solution that lasts for as long as humanly possible, is UV/weather resistant, doesn't fade over time, etc.

I did get quotes back from a vendor for the custom cut glow strips and they were pretty reasonable. Ballpark $100-$150 range for the total kit (without doing any real calcs).

I'm looking at LED feasibility now. We could definitely hack something together just by gluing LEDs to the backside of the emblem, but I think with a little more effort, we can get that precise, even glow that everyone's looking for. Sharp, not tacky.

Stay tuned!
