first mustang was 13 got base with leather heated seats. You know that’s your first mustang... also first time I tracked. Did the brake upgrade thing, learned a ton and tracked it. Loved the gt500 axel backs too!

Second mustang came because I was about to stick 3k or so into suspension and dealer gave me great trade in value towards a 16 gt base with performance pack. Only tracked it once unfortunately, but I went from 3m20s lap times down to 2m50s! I didn’t even realize it as I was driving, it was only after I checked the in car camera the next day. Although I did notice that some corners I whipped through at 10mph more. It was more confidence inspiring! The only thing was, stock fluid and stock brake pads so I stopped accelerating at 125mph and coasted to 3 of the high speed straits to slower speed corners. But damn that was a great day. A little brake fade, but definitely not anywhere near the stock 13 gt. But not as good as big brake kit with decent fluid.

Now I’m back, after making a bad choice of driving an suv for 3 months, back with black 2018 gt with pp1.

I have to say, I thought it would be exactly like the 16, but they have improved it. It’s tighter feeling, idk more feedback? I think the ride is a lot better too. the Michelin tires could be a big factor? Somehow it also feels more isolated. Hard to describe. The seating position seems lower, but for 3 months I was sitting on a kitchen chair in the suv haha.

Anyway I couldn’t be happier to be back. I love all three of them the same, just differently

Congrats on the 2018!

I also posted the same feelings in my review of my 2018 back in Feb, in the sense that coming out of my prior 2016 - the 2018 (same equipped as my prior) felt 1000% different in handling, performance (excluding the trans difference being the 2018 has the 10R80) and just overall feel.

Some say nothing changed in the 2018 in those areas - but others like us coming from a 2015-2017 can definitely agree that there IS a difference somewhere (suspension, body, etc) that has changed.

I mean I immediately felt it the first time I drove my 2018 - and it’s defintley nothing to do with the equipped tires.

Best of luck with it!
