Waiting for the mailman was almost as bad as waiting for Hertz's review, huh?
Just beware. I started on Sport but I am a V8. It was really touchy. So much, when I put it forward from backing up, I left marks in the driveway!(and my underwear):eyebulge: Damn I crack myself up:crazy:

same here. It was easier for me to unbolt the pedal. 3 bolts and I was able to pull it out far enough. Took all of 10 minutes.

It's pretty tough (hardest part of the install). I layed down backwards and just felt for it, I thought I was going to have a hernia and dislocate my shoulders.... I am not a big guy lol.

One question.

How safe are these? What is it they do that actually improves throttle response?

I remember all the bad press surrounding Toyota due to problems in their drive by wire systems.

This is just as bad as going to the dentist office, the waiting that is,at least I can watch my cameras so I know when he goes by,saves me the walks out o the box hahaha.

Lay mans term it increases the electrical impulse to the throttle,it boosts the signal. At least that's how I look at it.

Since all our cars are drive by wire, the throttle is controlled by the ecu, these memorize your driving habit and is kind of geared towards efficiency. You may not realize it but when you hit the gas pedal there is a bit of lag to get the car going. Before the pedalcommander i could floor it at take off and i could feel the lag so bad that id have the pedal floored for a good few seconds before the car actually reached maximum throttle.
If youve ever driven a car with a cable to control the throttle, youll notice that the pedal is very sensitive and the response is instant, if you floor it, youd be at maximum throttle almost instantly and youd probably be pushed back in your seat.

The throttle controller changes the signal from the pedal so that the feedback is much faster and It simulates the responsiveness of a dbc car. There is a video from sprint booster that shows how this works, wothout the throttle control the blades opened up very slowly, with the mod the blades opened up instantly.

Ok I received it in the mail yeeehaaa and I have it installed, wasn't the easiest thing to do but took about 3 min to get it hooked up,pedal side was easy just felt the top and plugged in the wire side was a bit tuff but I got it.
I did put it on sport not sport+ and have it in the 1st green dot to start with I'll move up or down from there when I take it for its 1st ride, right now I'm checking out the stickers and lanyard that came in the box then I need to go get my new lenses for my glasses but think I'll take the F150 and see if the rain stops and dries up a bit(try keep car clean).
I can't wait and I'll put up my thoughts on it a bit later today.

Where have you folks put the controller or do you just have it down in front of the shifter?think I will put mine on dash next to steering column right side.

Still deciding on that lol. I just stuck it in the space between the cup holders and shifter but the Velcro sucks and it falls. I can't put it where I want because the wire would hang down and possibly interfere with me hitting the gas pedal so I may have to ziptie the wires. Will experiment where to put it today after work.
Enjoy your lag-free acceleration and let us know what you think about it.

Did you get the pedalcommander or the pedalmax?
The only reason I was going to get the pedalmax instead was because I could order it on AM and get the 1 day shipping for $30 because I'm impatient as hell. I even paid $100 to get 1 day shipping for my Flowmasters. Yea I'm dumb but this is why I hate online shopping.
