No, thats not the problem. Don hit the high point. Cheap ass boot combined with non-high temp grease. An inferior part.......

The CVs should have been over engineered, they were not. My advice to you is if you are going to push the car, you ought to consider upgrading your CV joints
Does anybody make an UPGRADED CV JOINT?

Tomster, 2 things:

1. Can you please share some of your video footage? Would love to see your handiwork and the car taking on others. Daytona is a bucket item for me - someday.
2. As far as Ford failing on design etc. - you know pushing any car to the limits exposes weaknesses. My buddy with a Z06 sold it due to track overheating issues. (2 laps in at Indy) I think Ford has done a lot of great engineering here (build quality aside for some), The amount of heat exchangers etc. tell the thought and extremes they planned for. As for the boot/design etc. I'm not smart enough to comment. I do know this - that findings these issues and having smart people in the aftermarket address them only improves the breed. Most ppl won't see over 120 with these let alone the workout your giving it.

Keep giving it the beans and pls share your exploits. JP

At this time I feel that I can't. I didn't tune or modify the car in any way. I drove it as it was designed, built, and delivered. I've said all I am going to say on this matter for now. Later, I will comment after it it all sorted, but for now, that's it.
