I have been researching a lot of kits and I want to go with the Procharger. I dont want this thread to be about arguing with me as to why - it's gonna be a procharger for me

Anyway, my question is between the two kits that most sites offer. One is like this, for $5300:

https://lmr.com/item/PR-1FW204-SCI/mustang-gt-procharger-supercharger-kit-1516-1fw204-sci

And the other is most often advertised as this, for $6000:

https://lmr.com/item/PR-1FW214-SCI/mustang-gt-procharger-supercharger-kit-1516-1fw214-sci

Seems like the only difference is that the 2nd comes with 52lb injectors

So, do they only sell the $5300 for those expecting to upgrade their own injectors/fuel system to whatever they want, and also to get their own tuning? Am I better off going with that kit, buying injectors seperately, and finding my own tuning options,

or

Do I just spend the $6k and will that include EVERYTHING I need to plug/play right out of the box? I am not looking for max gains/huge numbers, I just want more power, safely, and tbh the cool factor of FI...not to mention not being afraid of stock camaros :D

You can but injectors and tuning separately but it usually comes out more expensive and you risk making the wrong decision on ordering parts. But if you know exactly what you're doing and already plan on someone else tunig the car, then it might be in ur best interest it buy the tuner only kit. For me i would just buy the whole kit just for the piece of mind that i know i got exactly what i need.

I have reached out to Beefcake but have so far been disappointed with his response - I'm sure he's super busy, but I have yet to receive pricing info. He tried to steer me to the Paxton kit, which I'm sure is great, but I want the Procharger so just give me a quote! LOL

If any vendors see this and can competitively price a Procharger kit for me, shoot me a PM!

Any vendor on here can get you setup with a full Procharger kit whether custom or a package system directly from Procharger. If going custom, it will be a little more since we recommend only going to quality injectors like Injector Dynamics. Fuel is not something you want to skimp out on. Since you already have a tuner (dont know which one) and depending on which one we can take that off the price of a custom package. We use Ken Bjonnes for our supercharger packages and enjoy working with him as I'm sure you would too.

Give us a shout and hopefully we can set you up with something, whether a package directly from Procharger or a package tailored to fit your needs.

Yes

What, if any, parts of the fuel system did you upgrade along with the blower/IC? Did you change your plugs, too?

Thanks
Typically you see at least either the FUEL INJECTORS or FUEL PUMP upgraded. Many/most upgrade both. Beyond that, no other fuel system upgrades are made.

As for the plugs, I would say most people also upgrade the plugs to one step colder than stock. Although, some simply re-gap the stock ones.

Yep...I used Lund as my tuner. He suggested BAP, ID1000's and one heat range colder in plugs. I did all three.
