A couple proper side pics since I added the wheels. Need it to get a little warmer before I can do these brake calipers. I did order some paint for the engine bay though.

Hey, what lug nuts did you got with? I'm looking for some red ones myself and they are proving to be hard to find for the thread pattern on the S550.

Started this over a week ago but the weather isn't cooperating. To cold and damp. Had to give it enough time so I could tape it off. And just when it's gonna warm up, it's going to rain for 5 days. I might try tomorrow if I can find the time.

Finally had the time and weather to get this cover done. I don't think it came out bad at all.

Now I just need a nice Sunday to do my calipers next.

Did I mention this thread would be picture heavy.

Clay barred the car finally. Then I did some some Meguiar's Scratch-X 2.0 in a couple spots. It did great on a couple blemishes. I still have a few tiny rock chips to deal with.

Finished it off with some Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic spray. I'm new to ceramics so I chose something that was supposed to be easy to work with. I have to say I'm impressed with the results. The paint is smooth and now really slick. I want to add the second coat tomorrow. Supposed to give you 12 months of protection. I've heard more like 9 months. But not bad for the price.

So here's some pics after.

If you have jack rails, ditch the scissor jack and get a good floor jack and add a hard rubber puc (even cheap hockey Pucs work)
You can lift up 1/2 of your car anywhere along the rail. Nice to take rims off every month or so and clean the back sides...........

I've never used a scissor jack on this car. I have red jacking rails, two 3 ton floor jacks and 4 jack stands. The rails were worth it for me.

Ordered a set of these. I don't know what Ford was thinking with that marker lamp. The bulb only lights about a third of the lense and it's not even centered. I feel like they could have done better on the bezel.

I think strut bar and subwoofer are next on my list. May have to wait on the subwoofer until July. I have a lot of fireworks to buy. 🇺🇲
