Looking for a shock/strut recommendation to replace my stock PP stuff.

Cliffs:
*Eibach sportline, bmr cb005, bmr front subframe brace, steeda cradle alignment, will be installing bmr diff lockout
*Street car, very occasional track duty
*Paxton supercharger, so extra weight up front

What would pair well with the sportlines? I'd like the viking warriors, but no word on them making front struts only. Don't need coilovers.

Steeda fixed/adjustable?
Koni?
Combine the warrior rear with a steeda/koni front?

Billet rear mount worth the coin?

Thanks!

Billet rear shock mounts 100% worth it, they are a thing of beauty and when you hold the stock mount in one hand and the Steeda billet mount in your other hand you will understand. Spherical bushing absorbs the bounce factors way better than the stock rubber piece.

As far as struts/shocks, I personally thought my PP set up was decent, but boy was I wrong. PP suck, I switched to koni adjustable rears and steeda fixed struts and OMG, it's a new car, feels perfect now.

I'd recommend adjustables on all four corners since you "very occasionally track" your ride. Make sure you pick the right billet rear shock mount size 10mm or 12mm for the shocks you go with.

Yes, a great combination as mentioned above - Pro Actions & the mounts!

Many happy customers thus far & a lot of feedback on the boards - there is another customer getting ready to pull the trigger on the Pro Actions with the Sportslines in our Pro Action thread.

Could be worth the wait to see his feedback then pull the trigger!

Best Regards,

TJ

I've had the Steeda non-adjustable shocks and struts and Steeda's billet aluminum rear shock mounts on the car for about two weeks now. I've had the Steeda progressives springs for a while, well before adding the shocks and struts.

Anyway, the set up feels even better now than when the shocks and struts were first installed.

I like them.

Awesome! Isn't it surprising how good the suspension feels even for a lowered car? Every other car I've lowered, I've just lived with the rough ride, telling myself it was ok because of the cornering improvement. Now I'm spoiled. I will want every other car to ride, handle and perform this nice!

I hear you, Joe. There's nothing rough about the Steeda set up that I'm running.

Had Michelin Pilot Super Sports put on today for the first time.

These new tires with the Steeda shocks, struts, and shock mounts are nice.

With the new tires, the ride is even smoother.

I haven't had it on the highway yet or done any spirited driving/cornering, but I'm expecting good things.

Is there any particular reason you would want to pay for Vikings? I understand they were the first to offer shocks for the new mustang platform but there have been leaps and bounds as far as shock development for our cars. Plus, what about the issues with Viking shocks rattling after a few miles:

I like the double adjustability of compression and rebound independently. I know some have had issues, but not all. Viking shocks as a whole have an outstanding reputation. I'm just looking for as much info as I can get on various combos before I pull the trigger. Don't want to buy twice!

Issue with Viking was one of the first kits like all these new kits. Newer kits should be less or none NVH depending on each cars.

My vikings has about 10k miles and no NVH as far as I know =) even w the loud exhaust lol
