The shifter on my new GT has a tinny rattle to it when I shift....anybody else notice this? seems like it just isn't tight

Have you owned a manual car before? It might be normal, there's always some rattle/movement, the shifter is attached to a massive, whirring transmission. But it's hard for anyone to tell without driving it.
If you're concerned, take it to the dealership and let them try it.

Yea try and lift up on the reverse collar see if it goes away. Mine rattles and vibrates all to hell regardless.
