Shifter mechanism issue?

So normally if I put it in Sport and paddle down to the gear I want, I’ll floor it and bump it up into Drive not using that much pressure.

however, I did it earlier today with the same light force I always use and it went into Neutral. Has this happened to anyone else, or is this an isolated issue I should have checked out? TIA
