I have a premium GT PP and I have not seen this feature during the day or at night. What do you have to do to activate the function?

The whole tach should light up red approaching redline UNLESS your background color is red already. Switch your myColor background to blue and run it up to redline and it should turn red at redline.

You are correct my instrument color is red orange so that's why it hasn't been working thank you .

No problem!...now go do a couple redline runs and watch the color show!

Are there any good apps out there for this? I have an OBD-II ELM27 wifi dongle and use Dash Command. I think it's a really ugly app though.

All the gauges turned red in my '12 at the extremes, even fuel. Havent had fuel low enough to see if this is still the case but I imagine so.

Try Torque. It costs but its feature rich with a lot of addins available.
