I previously owned a 2011 GT Premium. On that car, I remember that the dash tech bezel would illuminate when getting to redline. Since this 2016 is a Base, I'm guessing I can't upgrade or easily switch to have the gauges illuminate. Does anyone have an easy shift light aftermarket recommendation? Thanks.

I believe you need to buy a Premium gauge cluster for it to work but people have done it.

Its not really a shift light, its a warning that you hit near rev limiter, but on mine it only lights up at night so during the day I tape the light sensor close to make it light up but its not bright enough to really help at the track, so just get a raptor shift light, its so easy to set up and really works at the track, adjust it about 500less rpm to compensate for reaction and its really bright so you wont miss it for sure when it lights up

Somebody mentioned this a week or so back. Hey...I never noticed this sort of thing. Anyway one day I tested it out in my 2015 GT/PP and didn't catch it (day). Then another time I tried it at night and it was hello captain obvious.

It is there but like said - more of a indicator you are approaching the rev limit. More noticeable during the night though.

Do you have Forward Collision Warning on the car, as part of the Adaptive Cruise Control? It's what they based the GT350's actual shift light off of on the head up display. The light is there and I believe its the same light used on the GT350, so I'm wondering what they did to make it a shift light on the GT350 and if I can modify it on my car as well. My car is an auto but it would still look cool.

That would be cool. If anyone has any input, please provide it. My car is an Auto, but when really hammering it, I sometimes hit the rev limiter/throttle cut or whatever it is. I'd rather have some feedback at say 7000 that informs me redline is fast approaching. Mine is tuned to 7500 with a blower and the redline happens fast at times.

I do miss the beep sound on my RX-8 when it's near 9000rpm.
I have hit the rev limiter a couple of times on the Mustang. I kinda wish it had a redline beep sound.

Do the manuals have a gear sensor? I was told by a tuner that the manuals didn't have it
It's probably based on speed and rpm.
