Shift boot clip missing

I accidentally got Loctite on the shifter when installing a new shift knob so when removing the shift boot bezel the club for the center piece cave off and I can't find it in my car. Ford doesn't sell it so will it make a huge difference if I'm only missing one clip which is the center one?
