Shelby American has produced soooo many variations of the Shelby's you need a program. Its not anything special it's the same old school approach. Just not my thing anymore. Maybe if they knocked $40K off the sticker some sane person would buy it.
There is just too many competitors with better stuff for way less money. I'll wait on the C8 mid engine for that kind of money.

Free market. No one is being forced to buy it.

If no one buys at $140k the price will have to come down.

$140k is truly laughable for a bolt on Mustang GT...even with the Shelby badge.

If someone buys for $140k. They will cry when the Shelby GT500 comes out for less.
Someone asked Edsel Ford one time why did they quit building the K model Lincoln he said " we didn't quit building them people quit buying them." As long as people keep buying them Shelby and the dealers who sell them will ask outlandish prices for them.

It is absolutely possible to build a car like the shelbyied cars for much less. I was at Shelby America last week and it was full of cars getting converted including one headed for China and one going back to Australia. I'd really like a Shelby Daytona in polishe aluminium.

When I went t buy my s550, I'll never forget me and my gf looking at the $10k dealer mark up on a GT350 and my gf going, "But why?"

And me going, "Because they can". She couldn't believe it was legal.

I like the carbon fiber decklid. I just don't like how it doesn't match the gloss black trim around the tail lights. I really wish Ford would sort out the FRPP blank decklid because the CF one is overpriced.
