Shelby GT-H spotting (Hertz)

Driving to work this morning I came across my first GT-H shelby car.

They are damn nice looking, but I'll assume that they're all autos.

The black with the gold stripes looks pretty good, but the rear end with the GT-H emblem is a bit busy.

Car sounded great.

Should I assume that they're all rentals? Can you buy a Shelby GT-H off of a lot?

Very cool. I'm yet to see any on the road. I usually see about 1 GT350 per week on average, but so far no GT350Rs or GT-H models.

Haha exactly, I remember when the 2006 came out there was a certain magazine that reviewed one and told you how to pop off the TC button and remove their clip that disabled it...and even reminded you to make sure and put it back before turning it in!

Most of us beat on our cars harder than the average rental person. I'd have no issue purchasing one for the right price. At least you know it had some maintenance compared to many who mechanically neglect their cars but keep them looking like a grandmothers car on the outside.

I used to work by the airport here in Charlotte (only a 30 min drive), so it's tempting to go rent one for a day. Only problem is I can't bring myself to drop $325 to drive one for a day when I have the GT sitting in the driveway. lol

The 2015 Mustang V6 Convertible I had in Hawaii as a rental was a ragamuffin @ 10,000 miles.

But,

My 1989 LX 5.0 Coupe was a rental. I didn't know it when I bought it. Who knew in the 80's before the intranets and I was only 18. But it was in good enough shape.

Gotta admit, if I walked into Hertz looking for a car to rent whilst visiting somewhere for the weekend and saw that sitting on their lot, I'd be pretty tempted to pony up and take it for a day or two.
