Shelby GT 350 shipping time frame

The release process is very confusing and No set pattern . FP has no answers because they can only read what's on their screen.
Could dealer order VS special order (like us ) have anything to do with release time ? There are a hell of a lot of dealers with Shelby's.

Mine is a dealer order.

Like Mike, my car was built 11/11 and has no shipping info. I spoke with my dealer today and he did some digging and got information that my car is on "Plant Hold" but he doesn't know why. He basically told me today I was looking at a Jan car now. According to his info, the car is due to be released on 12/23

Ok thanks for the info. While I'm waiting I'm going to look @ the new camaro that just came in. Why not. Don't hate me please. New platform and all.

mine sat from 10/22 until being released on 11/30, just monday. Now i still have to wait for them to put it on the train to get out here, which at this rate, who know how much longer that will be. Once its on a train, i will feel so much better, but that could still be weeks unless i get lucky

My car (0968) was built 11/11 and is cleared to ship but still sitting in jail for no apparent reason. Not complaining - I can be patient especially considering I didn't expect it until Feb-Mar. But it just seems odd they can build them so much faster than they can ship them.

Window sticker said "Convoy" but instead shipped out by rail 11/26
Received at holding yard 12/01
Now waiting for a truck to be scheduled to pick it up and drop off to dealer (estimate 12/04 - 12/10)

Easier said than done... especially when ABC dealer wants $XYZ$ ADM on top for their current or incoming stock unit. My brother in the bay area yesterday went to Sunnyvale Ford to inquire about their incoming '16 Magnetic... and the dealer has a 25k markup. :tsk:

I originally went to Sunnyvale Ford in early Sept and got a written quote of $58345 w/Tech (MSRP). Then 5 minutes later the sales manager comes out and said they just SOLD the allocation! hmmmm.

On another note... does anyone now how to track a rail car? I've been searching with little luck.

A higher up at ford Dearborn told me that ups handles all the dispatch and I'm pretty sure they use the vin as a tracking number because he said its the same as a package. Just better.

I didn't see it for myself but my dealer said there were several status updates in their system about the progress of the rail car. No info such as what rail car # but instead updates every 2 or so hours in the ford system about its location.

Released date was date was November 27 th week.
Shipped November 30

The facts are..... anything built after around 11/13 are moving and that's good. But the rest of us are in jail. The dealers don't know why and we can't get out.

It has to be a faulty parts issue that is the only logical this at this point. They don't want to just hold on to cars for no reason. So once it is resolved I am sure your car should get to you in under 21 days.
