I agree 100%, but I might be biased. LOLIT DOES have a very light amount of metal flake !! I was at SEMA and talk tot he FORD rep and he confirmed it...BUT I have to tell you the Shadow Black is so beautiful in person a camera can NOT capture the beauty of this color on this car, the color has a creamy black look hard to describe !!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU will not be disappointed and in fact the blue stripe might be the way to go ....Just do it !!!
I agree also. The blue stripes on shadow black is sharp.I agree 100%, but I might be biased. LOL![]()
Several are available here:I'm trying to find some pics of one with the blue stripes. Anyone?I think I'm gong to call and get them in morning,,,,,
I have several pics in my profile gallery. Mine has no stripes though. If you have a pic or two you could send me to see it, I'd really appreciate it.

I just looked at my Shadow Black 2015 GT350 in the garage and if it has any Metallic to it I cannot see it but I am getting pretty old and my eyes are not so good anymore. I plan to get it out and wash it in the next day or two now that most of the pine pollen is pretty much gone and I will take a good look in the direct sun light. The other day I was looking at the tread for ShadowBlack owners and seen a post of a guy saying it had a real light metallic to it? Yes or no? I ordered mine after seening a CS GT in what I "thought" was ShadowBlack and it was solid no metallic. So to anyone that owns one? I asked the question on the thread a couple of days ago and no response. So I thought I'd find a bigger audience. Thanks
I have 2015 Black code UA....it is Black!! No metallic whatsoever!! ???????:shrug:Not sure if there is a difference or not, but I have a 2015 that is "Black" paint code UA and it does appear to have a little metallic. When I bought it, the dealer said the new "Shadow Black" paint code G1 for 2016 would not have the metallic. However, many (but not all) parts and touch up paint suppliers list both colors as interchangeable.
Who knows, maybe I am seeing metallic that isn't there because the dealer suggested it was there...I haven't actually compared side by side with a 2016, so I can't comment if there really is a difference or not.
Either way, not sure why Ford would change the name and paint code if nothing was different other than the plain old name of "Black" just wasn't sexy enough - or - they wanted people to trade their now dated Black 2015's to the new Shadow Black 2016's!
