Same as mine. after a couple of calls Wednesday dealer went from “part is on backorder and we don’t know how wrong one was sent” to “it’s in stock can we book you in”.

All I did was mention I was going to call CRC and complain...

Looking forward to cold air. Just hoping compressor is only issue.

......Basically it seems that cars being stood from the end of last year in Belgium up until now, the compressors have ceased up or at least started to cease. On first start up some compressors will still run however by the time the customer has collected the vehicle it would have been running through transportation and our prep process and eventually it fully disables the compressor. its seems they basically shred the rubber seal on pulley due to it being ceased.

Interesting info, thanks. It's probably in the owners manuals that no-one reads, but I'm aware that you're meant to run the air conditioning regularly (even during winter) to keep seals lubricated.

What's led to these cars having spent six/eight months parked in Belgium??

Ford building shed loads to dump in the UK market, these car were built over a year ago and just stored in Belgium till they are sold , they are still trying to dump them on the UK market now at much reduced prices, the MY18 never really existed in the UK as Ford did not advertise it or even put it on there website as they had too many MY17 still to shift, just started to advertise the MY19 in the last few weeks

Ok, thanks.

The Mustang has been a massive sales success down here, having been introduced to fill a void left by the total collapse of the Australian auto industry. First year sales were expected to be a few thousand, they sold three times that. Having been caught short, Ford opened the gates and whilst sales are up another 50% we're in the same position you are......too many 2017 cars here and a delay on introducing the new car.

Deliveries of the 2018 Mustang start this week, with the 2019 model arriving around October.

So, I took the car on a 200 mile round trip yesterday , new Compressor fitted , they gave me a fiesta to drive for the day while they did it , the AC in that was so cold I had to turn it up even though it was in the high 20s

Drove mine back yesterday but it's just not feeling AC cold , it's cool air so it is working but you need max AC and the blowers on full blast so wondering if they've put enough gas in it .

As per my comment in other thread. Check its in Auto mode. Mine was exactly the same after collection from dealer with new compressor. Cold on MAX but warm with no airflow until I pressed the Auto button... Took a few miles to realise...
