Hey guy's so I just installed my Paxton supercharger over the weekend and I ran in to a lot of miscellaneous issues with the kit and the instructions so I just wanted to share up with anyone who will be installing the kit themselves. The instructions are completely out of order and a lot of the more advanced parts do not have any pictures (the pictures are of the easiest parts which makes no sense). I'm not planning a full installation manual but I do want this to hopefully be a resource for those who plan to install the kit themselves. And feel free to PM me if you guys run in to any issues that I might be able to help with. So in order here is how you should follow there instructions:

1. Begin by removing the bumper, intake, coolant reservoir and other miscellaneous items to gain access to the front of the engine.

2. Before actually trying to install the supercharger bracket or the throttle body I would recommend removing the fuel rail and coil covers next.

3. Once you have removed the injectors and fuel rail That is when I would recommend at least beginning the routing for the vacuum lines and coolant lines at the front of the intake manifold as these lines are much harder to gain access to once the supercharger and throttle body are back on. Your only going to install the T's in the piping and get it set up as you will have to trim up the tubing to finally connect it to the coolant reservoir and intake/PCV but it is much easier doing this with everything off.

4.Once you have the lines on the intake manifold all set up (with out finalizing the hoses connecting to the coolant reservoir and the intake tube)
then you should install the injectors and place the fuel rail back on. I would also recommend setting the spark plug gap and getting the coil covers back on so you can install the remaining coolant line going to the reservoir. I do also want to mention that you will need a second 5/16 line adapter as there is only on in the kit but to extend the coolant line that runs from the top of the intake manifold running parallel with the fuel rail as there is only one in the kit but the line even in the pictures shows two being used. This will for the most part be finalized other than the lower coolant reservoir line which you will route once the supercharger is in place. but do not finish the PCV modification on either side yet. you will want to wait until the supercharger is on for the passenger side and the intake tube is on the driver side before finalizing those.

5. Once the lines on the manifold are done then you can begin installing the bracket for the supercharger and begin routing the belt. Just a as a note one of the pieces on the top is only for 2011 cars and will not be used (it shows which spacer and bolt that is on the instructions) But keep in mind to read the instructions thoroughly as the spacers sometimes differ by .1"

6. With the belt and supercharger on (this comes prefilled so do not add oil!) you can install the smaller breather plug and remove the shipping plug on the supercharger.

7. Now you can begin the intercooler install and piping along with the BOV as this is fairly straight forward but there are no pictures on the instructions so routing is all by following there guidelines.

8. Once the lines and everything for the intercooler is all connected and the supercharger in place you can finish the PCV modifications to the passenger and driver side (be sure the MAF flow is pointed towards the throttle body as well or it will not run.

So these are just a few notes I thought I would share with everyone. I will try and post pictures of my installed unit in some of the harder areas with less than detailed pictures on the instructions when I get the chance. Happy installing everyone! :headbang:

Wow, that is a nice write-up companion to the manufacturer install manual.

It amazes me that many of the companies selling these kits for $6000+ don't care enough about customer support to write a completely detailed manual with photos.

They could probably eliminate a ton of customers trying to get answers over the phone or thru e-mail on, most likely, nights or weekends when there is no tech. support beyond what you can get online from someone.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if you can find these instructions online? I went the their site but I only saw instructions for 2011-2012 models.

They send the instructions on disc. I should be able to download and send you a copy. I'll check when I get off work unless someone beats me to it.

When I was looking at all the FI kits, I think the Vortech was available on their website. I downloaded it from somewhere :).
