So I am sure my seat belts are twisted and came that way from the factory. I had my dealer look at them and compared to other mustangs on the lot they are all the same. However if you look at any other car on the lot they are different. I took a couple pics of my 2005 F150 and the wife's 2012 Explorer for comparison. It wouldn't really matter but the way they are twisted after a while it really starts to dig into my shoulder and is very uncomfortable. My dealer said they could fix them but I would have to pay for it since Ford says they are installed correctly. Is anyone else having this same issue?

Yeah that's definitely the way mine are installed, I do think that is the way Ford wanted them installed. I haven't had problems with mine though. You might try to use that strap that buckles over it, I have mine connected and it might be taking some of the impact instead of my shoulder.

Thanks but I tried the padded sleeve and the adjustment clips and neither style really helped.

Put the loop on. The reason why its twisted that way is because how it would go though the loop.

I know it sounds like whining but I have tried that too. I am 6'3" 240 lbs and when it's in the loop it is way too low. Guess I will just pay to have them flipped.

I'm 6'2" and don't like or use the loop either - WAY too low.
Even tried a short seatbelt extender thinking that would shift the belt more toward the door but no joy.

And it feeds better through the loop when turned the other way

Mine seem like they're flipped too. Actually thinking about stopping by a dealer to compare. I don't suppose a shop manual would show the level of detail needed to figure this out?

I have a really good relationship with my dealer and the service dept and if there was anything they could do I am certain that they would. With that being said they will compare it to others on the lot and check with Ford and they will be told they are installed correctly. Yes they are like every 15-16 Mustang but no other car I have looked at including my 2005 CRV, 2005 F150,2012 Explorer and every friends car I have checked.

Mine was irritating on my neck. I bought a cheap sheepskin wrap that velcros on and now I actually quite like it.
