Hi folks.....UK GT owner here trying to figure out the best way to tune my car:)

I've already decided to go SCT and Lund, But due to the horrendous exchange rates and our import duties:doh:etc on top.. I've decided that the only cost effective way to get what I need is to buy a second hand SCT, probably from eBay...

Now I know that I need a 7015, and there are a few listed, but some say they're loaded with "power stroke" diesel tunes...
Some are branded "BAMA"

My question is, does this matter??

Oh and if there is a kind member out there that'd like to ship me either a new or used SCT X4.... I'd sure be grateful.....:)

I have a Bama X4 and have used it to load a Lund tune. You should have no problem.

But I'm not sure if you need to get it married to your car or if it was unmarried from the other cars owner.

Buy one thats proven to be unmarried from the previous owners car and go from there. I just did it, got a Bama SCT X4 and it would NOT work for me. Called SCT and they walked me through the needed changes and its worked like a champ ever since! I picked up a Lund tune and havnt looked back!

Well my ne SCT tuner makes a great door stop:rant:

As a tuner it's not so good...."vehicle unsupported"

Sent a few requests to SCT for help......and it seems "customer unsupported" would also apply:(

Not even an acknowledgement...

My SCTx4 is branded "BAMA" when I had their tune, but now I'm running a Lund tune on the same exact device!

If you're trying to run one of the SCT "can" tunes, then it won't work if you have a US device and a UK vehicle. You need the US device if you're getting a tune from a US tuner, as the US software doesn't support the UK devices.

He knows this as his plan is to use a US tuner down the line. :)

He was just hoping to have a play with one of the canned tunes, a shame that SCT felt the need to region lock stuff.
