Why on earth would anyone hand cut tint these days? Computer cuts are always clean and usually the gap is minimal.

Especially such a mass produced car.

Good thing is you went through your dealer so if anything goes wrong, you go directly to the service manager. Good luck dude.

As long as the cuts are clean I wouldn't even mind a small gap. From reading online though the frameless setups are "supposed" to have approx 1/16" gap, and no more than 1/8". Although this is just guidelines on the Web haha. I've Googled some pics of the s550 with no gap at all from some tint shops but that's prob the minority. In all reality it's not the gap that bugs me but the jagged cuts (plus the scratched tint and scratched windows ofcourse haha)
There are some who will run it out to the edge, but most leave the small gap, less chance of something catching it & making a tear.

Exactly !!

Almost like the installer was moonlighting or something & didn't want to use the co's equipment !

Dump it in the lap of your dealership for repair. Pronto.

Frequently, dealerships will employ the lowest priced mechanic to do after sales installation and repair of bumpers, wheels, sheet metal dents etc. Quality can suffer greatly.

I left a message with the mobile tint company to change my appointment from their place to the dealers. This way I shouldn't get as much push back and my salesman was awesome so I'm sure he will help rectify. Plus management at the dealership is aware as is Ford (I started a case right away). I'll update tomorrow afternoon to let everyone know how it goes!

So I had one of the tint guys take a look at the car and he and I talked to his boss and they agreed to replace one of the windows (the one in the pic) and the other side they will have a professional glass place buff out the smaller scratches. At first I said I was going to take it to a different tint guy but the guy I met seemed legit and I said as long as its a good job in fine with a different tint guy doing it from the original guy who did it. They will do a microedge since the gap now was too big (and jagged). The rear window seems ok though. Just gotta wait for them to get ahold of me after they order the new window etc.

Noticed a small gash in my hood after the drive home from a rock so ordered some touch-up paint from the local dealer.

Here's my wife's Infiniti, Llumar tint done by dealer in Orlando. You can't run it right out to the edge, there's maybe an 1/8" - 1/4" gap.
My tint was done in Indiana and they shaved the edges for no gap looks super clean.
