SCJ Throttle Body Problems

I recently bought a used mono blade SCJ throttle body from a member on here that stated it was in good working condition when it was shipped. I installed it onto my Cobra Jet manifold build and tuners from Lund indicated it was sticking, they did warn me these are known to have problems sticking inside the bore. Has anyone got this problem resolved? Lund did say some companies can do some refurbishing and get the throttle body working correctly. I have since bought a twin 60 and will be happy with it, wondering if I can get this one working or will it become scrap metal?

To the OP, is it sticking on the close or opening ? You can do this...You can try scraping, then baking it. Its a very very tedious process, but if you take your time it can work. When I had my GT500 I had to do that with the 73 twins that had came out from billet pro shop. Took work, but in the end it worked.

I am battling the same thing on a twin 68 TB. Take off from a light and it shut down and started surging. Threw a 2112 code. It’s now done it 5 or 6 times. Put the Roush one back on tonight.
