It would be interesting to see how GT, EB, GT350 sales compared to last year. Perhaps GT500 sales are a notable influence on the quarterly increase from 19. Saw an orange GT500 out in the wild yesterday.

If Robracer decides to get a Ecoboost 2.3 liter Hi-PO Mustang with the handling package, I would love to hear how it compares to his Ecoboost Mustang.

Sorry I do not understand your question, what is a HI - PO mustang? My mustang has the handling package.

You know that just has to be a hoot to drive. I totally get why folks would prefer that package over the GT. I love manuals, but the A10 rips. I would get it with the 2.3 as well.

You baited me in to looking at the camaro6 Q1 sales thread. 300 posts from the same nine guys that must have nothing else to do. After reading a hundred of them I know less than before. It seems to be an extensive conversation dedicated to ignoring the elephant in the room. The Camaro sucks.

The same guys have been saying the same sh!t since 2016. The Camaro is the best performance car eveaaaaa! They’ve lost the acceleration battle. They lost the exterior design battle. And they lost the ergonomics and livability battle. So they hold on to the handling win with a death grip. And ignore everything else. The majority just can’t admit how flawed the car is. I sold a 2011 SS because I couldn’t stand sitting inside it. GM took a bad car design. (The 5th gen.) and made it worse. By dropping the roof even lower. And making the car smaller. With the 6th. Gen.

US MUSCLE CAR SALES

2020 Q1 / 2019 Q1 / % Change

Camaro 7,185 / 12,083 / -40%

Challenger 12,138 / 13, 431 / -10%

Mustang 18,069 / 16,917 / +6.8%

Mustang sales are a surprise. With the coronavirus national shut down
I was looking for the entire industry to be down 40%.
Mustang squeezed out an increase over 2019.
Not looking good at C6G City. Will coronavirus kill the Camaro?
The Camaro is horrible the ZL1 is decent but still I have no interest in the car. They should produce some excitement.

It's all speculation as to what will happen with the Camaro. I've personally never been a fan, but I don't want to see the brand go under.

I agree. Every car has a driver
Ford keeps focused on Mustang. For 2020/21 they have GT500,
Mach 1, rpm matching transmission, magnetic ride control shocks,
torque and horsepower upticks.
Does Chevy have the same commitment to the Camaro?
If Camaro drops, for me it will be like 2002. No big deal. And I think
it will be like 2009, it will come back later. A possible drag on Camaro
sales is the C8 Corvette. At a $60K price point, I think it sucks sales away
from the specialty and premium badge Camaros. From a corporate standpoint
I think GM is more interested in C8 success. They both sell off the same showroom floor.
One will take the back seat.

Dodge sells a lot based on their rebates, media, and the excitement around the brands/cars.
The mustang I’m not sure, maybe it’s the rental fleet that helps and the EcoBoost models but not sure what drives mustang sales.
The Camaro has no excitement what so ever, never any talk about if from consumers or media talking about any cool new features of the vehicle. Nothing to help push it sales. The silly LT packages and all. They should go back revamp and come back with a tire shredding affordable v8 quit penny pitching and cutting corners.
