PCP is the way, especially if you only keep it a year then swap again. Only on 0% interest deals mind, I’ve never kept one the full 3 years then handed it back, nobody does that, and as long as you get the car cheap enough to start with you use the equity in it a year down the line as deposit for the next. Technically renting but having a new car every year :)

Just had a phone call from Allen Ford about the 0% - I'm ready to swap mine, so long as it's Grabber Lime with every option included. Mine is a 67 plate Shadow Edition so just came with everything and I wouldn't want to pay more for less. She mentioned that the deal was only on stock cars - does anyone know if this is correct? If I'm going to swap my Grabber Blue I'd only really want Grabber Lime or Lucid Red, and not sure if these are new colours. Also the website doesn't show the custom packs - do they still exist now?? She's offered me a Need for Green with customer pack 2 ..... decisions, decisions.....
2019 model year stock vehicles only.

I haven't PCP'd in this country. What is the penalty for handing the car back early?

Nothing as you aren’t handing it back, you have to keep a new Ford for 9 months minimum on PCP then if you want can trade it in for another PCP deal! It’s not a set in stone you have to keep the car for 3-4 years like a hire purchase deal.

It depends if you're swapping manufacturer and therefore finance provider. To get my Mustang I handed my A5 back after around 2 years of a 3 year PCP - it's Voluntary Termination, and as long as you've paid at least half of the total finance agreement, there's no penalty. I just had to pay around £1k to bring mine up to that amount. There seems to be a bit of disagreement as to whether it affects your credit rating or not, but the majority say not and it hasn't affected me in any way.

I am very surprised there is no cost. Can you just hand back a PCP early if you aren't trading it in for anything new from Ford?

If you have enough equity in it to pay off what’s owed then I’d imagine so if the dealers used car dept are willing to buy it off you but never done this so don’t hold me to that! Ford will love people doing this as it keeps sales numbers up for both new and used vehicles.

Sometimes you can actually be better off a year down the line in equity than when you started if A- you got a good cheap deal at the start and B- the car holds its used value well. I had a Focus ST in 2016 that cost 23k after discounting from 28k, a year down the line I got 22.5k as a trade in and all the monthly payments had accrued to being over twice what I put down as deposit originally. So started with a 2k deposit and ended up with 4K equity which went swiftly down as a deposit on a Mustang lol

Well, I am going to ask my dealer what the 0% deal looks like if you don't have a car to trade in.

I have a deposit on a Bullitt but if they have a 2019 in stock with Recaros, B&O and Magneride that qualifies for the deal, I will have to do the numbers and really think about it.

You don’t need a car to trade in, and definitely worth getting a specced up GT over the Bullitt, I don’t think it’s going to be as special as was originally thought as they just keep making more and more of them!

What dealer have you got your Bullitt deposit down at?

I think in the UK they will hold their value better than a GT as they are far more rare and come with all the toys and nice extra touches, granted as a new car they are pricey. There are only 200 registered in the UK so far as well.

Anyway, the new sale for a GT is tempting but I want the Recaros, B&O Sync 3 and Magneride which may be a difficult combination to find, let alone having to settle for a less sexy colour than Dark Highland Green.

My deposit is with Dagenham Ford. I'll be in touch with them and other dealers to see what is in stock.

A GT on this finance package is cheaper up front but given 2016 models are already selling as low as £20-25k, I think over the same 3-4 year time span the Bullitt will be worth £5-10k more at least. Meaning you would make up the value in the longer run having a Bullitt rather than a regular GT.

5.0 2016 models were only like 32k brand new when first released don’t forget so not as bad depreciation as it looks, and the ones at 22-25k have lots of miles on them. It’s nearly ten grand more for a new 5.0 GT now compared to back then!

I’m seeing what they have in stock at the dealer I work at in York tomorrow too. Manual GT in white with custom pack 2 would do me :)

All the new MY19 GT's come with B&O sounds and Synch 3 as standard.

Only the Recaros and Magneride are extra options, and the magneride is still an optional extra on the Bullitt not standard.

I looked at Recaros but you cannot get them with the heated/cooled functions, and so I opted for standard seats and they are extremely comfortable and more than supportive enough for me.

I have a Kona blue 2019, and another guy at work has just bought a Bullitt,

Most people when listening to them mentioning the fact two Mustangs are in the car park, say they prefer the blue one as the green one is too dark.

And also most people here do not even know there is a difference between them, they think they are both the same car except for the colour.

Then I say that green one is £4.5 thousand pound more than mine, and most of the replies are why would you spend more just to get a green one, then I have to explain, but still no one seems to understand.

However f they did a Bullitt with an auto option, I would have gone for one myself.

But I am more than very happy with mine and it will be a keeper, so I paid all my finance off and now the car is entirely mine :)

Thanks for the reply. For me it wouldn't be about whether the average Joe on the street knows it's a Bullitt, it's about enjoying the extras and come resale time being slightly (or perhaps significantly) better off come selling time when I decide to move onto another car.

In any case, the 0% finance deal is too hard to ignore and I contacted my local dealer. I'm not sold on the A10 despite test driving it and also using an Ecoboost rental car in the States that had it, so I think I'll stick with a manual. My dealer has two manual 2019s in stock, one in Orange Fury and the other in Velocity Blue. Both Custom Pack 2 with standard heated/cooled seats and without Magneride. In an ideal world, I am looking for a GT with the Recaros and Magneride and I'll have a search around their dealer network but I need to do some research into the non-Magneride cars to see if I would be happy with missing out on that option. I'm not a huge fan of the standard seats as I plan to do track days in the car, but that can always be swapped out for a much more expensive aftermarket seat option down the road (which is why I want the Recaros).

As for colours, I'm leaning towards Need for Green, Orange Fury and Velocity Blue but I can't be too choosy if I am looking for a GT that qualifies for the latest offer from Ford.

I too was torn between Velocity Blue and Need for Green. Went for NFG in the end and glad I did.
