Just as with the first photos we saw of the stock S550, it looks even better in person and up close.

These were pre-release photos taken by Automobile magazine. Roush Performance will be releasing their own photos on Monday I believe.

Wow, I must say this edition is stunning. Roush has thrown the gauntlet down at Saleen and any others (Steeda? LOL). This shows how well the 2015 adapts to tuners with their styling modifications. Car looks downright nasty.

As a general rule I'm glad Ford removed the side scoops and other "tacked on" parts for this style, however I am ok with the 3rd party tuners and to a certain degree even SVT hopping up the styling a bit, especially because those tuned cars will be making huge HP so its not that big of a deal to me. Not everything is functional on a car, sometimes it is just about styling...Lots of times... I do think the early 2000s hood scoop was a bit much considering that it wasn't real coupled with the fact it was factory and the GT motor wasn't that strong then.

Just shaking my head at those who think fake scoops look good on a 2015 model year car...:tsk:

They're also the same people to criticize someone's ricer with a huge wing and they're basically doing the same thing. Putting non functional styling parts on the car.

^The "non-functional" part doesn't affect me at all. if there was indeed an option for "functional" side scoop then I would opt for that, but there isn't. Same for the hood scoop...I will buy the hood scoop until I get the money for an aftermarket hood, then sell the aftermarket stick-on one.

I TRY to not make fun of any car as long as the owner enjoys it and they have put their hard earned money into it. The big spoilers and such, i think is dis-tasteful on MOST cars...however on some cars they look pretty cool.

I will not be running my car on the drag strip but prolly once every quarter when my local mustang club goes to the strip as part of one of our local cruises. So the non functional part and the added drag part can be said all the time and I wont lose any sleep lol

- not taking any offense/picking a fight... but it is someones car that they work hard to put their money into and that should be ok with everyone. I would PREFER them to be functional...but that isn't an option so i will take what i can get

I would definitely say the side scoops don't belong. I know there was a lot of uncertainty about the car not having them when we got our first look, but now that I can see a car with them they just don't fit. Neither does hood scoop.

I wish they would have used a different color so we could see how this looked more clearly. I'm curious about the rear valence and the quad tip exhaust which I think looked better than the dual tips on the last gen car.

Overall way too much looking backward for cues and not enough evolving this new design, and that goes for Saleen as well.
This!^

Split Five-Stars yes please. And the wing isnt that bad but i think the S550 looks just fine sans wing. Everything else you can kill with fire

People can do whatever they want to their car and if they're happy that's fine. Just be prepared that many won't like it and aren't shy to let you know.

Perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to remove. Roush, Saleen, and everyone who wants to tack useless, crappy shit on these cars would be well advised to consider this truism. At least they didn't plaster godawful stripes all over it. The wheels, however, are nice.
So true, so true! Knowing when to lift the pencil off the paper…

I like this much better than the Saleen version, it still looks like a Mustang and not a Camaro.:headbang:

I like the hood vents. I'm not thrilled with the rims, too Audi-ish or BMW-ish to be on a car that is trying to look aggressive. Don't like the grills, they look unfinished and stuck on. Hate the hood and side scoops, as others have said, too dated. Luke warm on the rear spoiler but I do like the quad tip exhaust.
I also find it odd that they choose a non-premium car for the mods, it lacks the toggle switches by the shifter.

I've admired Roush's exterior packages during the S197 era, but these things protrude like Post-it notes all over a computer screen. There is no continuity between the add-ons and what the body already delivers. Maybe Cervini's will take advantage of the void left by Roush and Saleen. Not feeling any of the packages either have to offer.

It definitely looks "different".
Makes me appreciate the smooth well thought out lines of the factory Mustang.

After seeing the first pictures of the 2015 Mustang months ago, I wondered how it would look with a hood scoop and decent sized spoiler.
Now I know and am very thankful that Ford decided to go with the clean lines.
