One thing I don't like about the Roush styling to come for this car is the upper grill. It lost too much of the character and shape of the OEM upper grill to the point it's starting to look too much like a 2013-2014 grill. I like the shape of the new upper grill.

I agree with this. Some changes are expected but it seems Roush decided to just go with a more S197 front end. Not a bad thing but it doesn't really add anything new to the S550 like I was hoping it would. I was hoping for something along the lines of what Rampant or others have rendered.

This is true, but I'll wait to see the whole thing in some decent photos before judging further :)

The clay model looks significantly different than the initial sketch, to my eye.

Less is more, sometimes :)
But it is amazing they are still in business for adding some stick on body panels, and changing the wheels and calling it a new car.
Exact same forumla every year, over and over.
I think people that modify cars would prefer to just pick out all the individual things they want themselves??
I guess these cars are for people who think that is too difficult or time consuming.

I was a huge fan of the 2014 Roush front bumper, but this one not so much. I am however really interested in the hood extractors and possibly the side scoop. I want a better look at the spoiler but I'm pretty sure my S550 will remain spoiler free.

Only thing roush has ever got right in my opinion is the square tip exhausts.

As a member of the Roush Road Crew, I was there on Thursday in Building 79 where they assemble the Roush Mustangs, when we were allowed to see and then photograph and share the photos that you see above. I took photos too, but won't share them since they are exactly the same that you see in this thread. Then, I was in the very first group of 10 people who were non Roush employees that were taken into the design studio and allowed to see touch and feel the 2015 Roush Stage 3 clay full size clay model. I can tell you that it looks awesome! Obviously, cameras and camera phones were not allowed in the design studio with the completed clay model....so I don't have photos of that experience to share. We also saw all the sketches of the ideas they started with and how they were massaged and changed over time, to get to the final clay model they have now. Lots of new styling in the RS3...but just like the Mustang itself, there are several areas where the heritage of past Roush Mustangs is evident in the 2015 RS3.

Awesome that you got to attend. Did the finalized clay models you saw pretty much look like the sketch? I know seeing something three dimensional is very different than a sketch on paper...

Sorry...only the photos on the wall were allowed to be photographed. When we went into the design studio, our cameras and phones had to be left outside at reception.

You need a cheap keychain camera then. They come in handy :-D

Cool that you got to see it! Did they indicate when it'd be launched? :)
