I'm really surprised by the suction this car has. The other day I was merging from one freeway to another and between lanes was a 2'x3' sheet of 5/8" plywood. Well since I was between lanes also a had no choice but to straddle it. It passed straight under without hitting it at about 65ish. As I popped my eyes on the rear view mirror, I watch it pop up in the wake of my car, about 3' in the air. It proceeded to flip over and land on its other side. Thank goodness no one way tailgating me or they would have been eating it for lunch. Wish I had a rear dash cam for that. Lol.

You are lucky that it did not pop up mid way and break everything underneath.

You sir, win the internets for the month of December :first:
LOL, totally agree. My mind did not jump straight to that, but that is why we have BBB here, to help us understand the possibilities! :D

I found something interesting.

One day I was cruising along on a road with very little traffic. Everything was dry and then I ran into a downpour. I kept cruising along at 60 and even after several minutes the back window didn't have a drop of water on it even though it was raining buckets. Once I had to slow down to under 50 it started getting wet.

Well I hit a piece of truck tire in the road and it went under my car & out the back. I later discovered the plastic bracket that attaches the lower center of the rear bumper cover was completely cracked in half. The tire had flipped up just prior to coming out from under the rear bumper and smacked it hard. Luckily that part cost less than $30 from Ford.

Also, maybe the aerodynamics are the reason we see so many S550s with cracked windshields. Debris is forced up in the air flow and right toward the windshield.
