S500 exhaust?

Hello everyone, I know this is the most posted and asked topic, but what exhaust would be great? My max range is about $700. either axel backs w/ h/x pipe or cat backs. I don't mind drone as long as it's not to the point were I have to raised my voice for a conversation. I was looking at pype bomb axel backs and cat backs. The Borla ataks are pretty cool too. What are your opinions? What exhaust do you guys have and like? Thanks!

I was looking at Ford Performance X-Pipe with Roush Axle-backs before I ended up going with my Corsa Extreme. Sounded great and was about $750

Roush Axleback (louder than the next two by a bit), Pypes Pro Touring or SLP LM2 and and X-pipe.

Or look for used and get whatever sounds best to you.

You said "about" $700. If you can push a bit more (forgo a few adult beverages, expensive wines (my vise), or coffee (fancy Unicorns)) you can get some amazing deals right now for 3 bills more.

I personally just picked up Corsa Sport cat backs. Should arrive this week and I couldn't be happier. I was expecting a much higher price but a forum member shot me some information, recommendations, and that was it. I think you might be surprised.

I'm a big fan of my Ford Performance xpipe and side exhaust with the 3/4 restrictors and stock exhaust. Tame enough to be able to have a conversation at 70MPH but when you get on it it gets nice and loud.

Are you sure that 13/14 GT500 mufflers will mount up to an S550? I thought the exhaust routing changed from the S197.

Edit: Huh, I guess they do if they're cut and welded. Cool.

That's correct. It's not a direct bolt on, but you can, or a shop, can use the existing piping from the stock mufflers to make it work.

Mbrp race spec. but if you want a little quieter they also have a street spec.

My recommendation ...

Roush Axlebacks with stock resonator to start. If you want it louder get an x-pipe.
Perfect for your budget and installed well under your price range.
