As posted in my earlier threads, I have been debating / researching the build v. buy when it comes to the full track pack for my 2016 (4.9k miles and excellent condition). Members have been so great with info and help - much appreciated. I have been searching hard for low mileage 2017-2019 GT350s the last couple weeks. Today, I went and inspected a 2017 GT350 with tech / electronics pack, 2.4k miles, Recaro seats, Triple Yellow with black stripes. I did full undercarriage inspection, top side review, and test drive. Overall solid mechanically and interior is brand new. I took tons of pics. Ask price was $59.9k. I got dealer down to $58k even. They offered me $46k for my 2016, which is what I paid for it year ago.

The cost to do full / comparable "track pack" upgrade is $10.5k (tech / R transmission, transmission cooler, diff cooler, labor / install, Recar seats with install, and spoiler with install). Based on my math, I am paying an incremental $4k to get all of this gear in the 2017 model. So it is not a wash financially. Questions / comments I have and would appreciate any feedback:

1. The car has a "Pedal Commander" installed; it was located in the drivers "secret" sunglass holder push cubby. What in the world is this? I know it is not a custom tune, but I am unfamiliar with this.
a. Outside of this, the car appears to be bone stock.
2. Car has been vinyl wrapped; this is new to me. The wrap edge appeared a little sloppy in some places and was a little bubbly and peeling in a few places. How much of a hassle and expense is it to get the old wrap removed and new wrap installed in select areas of the car?
3. Car clearly had diff cooler (I know this was standard on 2017 and newer models).
4. Transmission cooler - I know this was standard on 2017 and newer models, but so hard to see where this comes in from under the car. It is very tight underneath. I took various pics and would appreciate some insights. I saw various lines and some sensors, but could not tell what the actual "cooler" was.
5. Car had the "idiot scratch" on the drivers side hood edge from the windshield wipers; looks like prior owner tried to touch up, but not too well.
6. Under carriage was slightly dirty; may have seen a little Ohio salt roads. That can be washed off of course, but annoying none the less.

$58k is a little more pricey (but it is marketable based on my 300 mile radius research) and I would expect a $2.4k mile car to be in perfect / excellent condition. Maybe I am too picky. Any thoughts / comments would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

I'm not a price expert, but I think that's a little much for that car. My no option 2017 MSRP was $56,495. Even with those options that car has, I would guess MSRP to be around $60 when that car was new. I think its much too dirty and has too much corrosion for such a premium price. If it were me I'd pay the premium only if it was in showroom condition.

Sticker for this 2017 with triple yellow paint and electronics / tech package was $61,390. The mileage is low for sure, but agree it was dirtier than I was expecting. Perhaps I am not the only picky / detailed member when it comes to the definition of "clean".

This is mine and my definition of clean / shiny. After the paint correction and ceramic coating, I could literally shave from the reflection of my 2016.

I hate to say it but I would pass. I also hate to say it but the car seems like it was owned by someone who did not take care of it. That to me is more important than anything. 46k for your trade seems solid! I have a feeling they are making 5-6k on that car and hiding the trade in that.

Also I paid 46 for mine. 2017 with 6500 miles and the car is beyond mint. It was private party however. Dealership has to make a buck.

Pedal commander is a mod that makes changes the mapping of fuel to pedal press. No big deal but I would never install one.

PPF or paint protection film is a good thing. Helps protect against rock chips and overall condition. Can run a couple of grand depending on the shop. Looks like the front half was wrapped.

Hope that helps. Please reach out if you need more help. I would keep looking.

58 is high. Go on cars.com and you will see pricing. Pedal commander was used to increase throttle response. Hard pass on that one

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Yeah, that is a high price. Especially since the 36 mo warranty is probably up and you have limited drivetrain left.
My 2017 Race Red is going on the block as soon as the weather breaks and it is a 5,000 mi car, Recaros, Stripes, electronic package, cover, and transferable Ford PremuimCare extended warranty until February 2025. I am the original owner and bought in Feb. 2018. I would be happy with mid fifties.

That’s way too much for a 17. In perfect condition that car should be low 50’s at best. 58k should put you into a 19-20.

Yeah I saw numerous 18s and 19s for high 50s. Thanks for the feedback.

As another data point...I bought my 2017 in November 2020 for $48k with convenience and electronics pack and 1500 miles on the odometer.

Wow - that is a great. There is nothing like that in a 300 mile radius of my zip code. I am seeing some low mileage 2016 GT Track Packs listed in the low to mid 50s.
