As posted in my earlier threads, I have been debating / researching the build v. buy when it comes to the full track pack for my 2016 (4.9k miles and excellent condition). Members have been so great with info and help - much appreciated. I have been searching hard for low mileage 2017-2019 GT350s the last couple weeks. Today, I went and inspected a 2017 GT350 with tech / electronics pack, 2.4k miles, Recaro seats, Triple Yellow with black stripes. I did full undercarriage inspection, top side review, and test drive. Overall solid mechanically and interior is brand new. I took tons of pics. Ask price was $59.9k. I got dealer down to $58k even. They offered me $46k for my 2016, which is what I paid for it year ago.
The cost to do full / comparable "track pack" upgrade is $10.5k (tech / R transmission, transmission cooler, diff cooler, labor / install, Recar seats with install, and spoiler with install). Based on my math, I am paying an incremental $4k to get all of this gear in the 2017 model. So it is not a wash financially. Questions / comments I have and would appreciate any feedback:
1. The car has a "Pedal Commander" installed; it was located in the drivers "secret" sunglass holder push cubby. What in the world is this? I know it is not a custom tune, but I am unfamiliar with this.
a. Outside of this, the car appears to be bone stock.
2. Car has been vinyl wrapped; this is new to me. The wrap edge appeared a little sloppy in some places and was a little bubbly and peeling in a few places. How much of a hassle and expense is it to get the old wrap removed and new wrap installed in select areas of the car?
3. Car clearly had diff cooler (I know this was standard on 2017 and newer models).
4. Transmission cooler - I know this was standard on 2017 and newer models, but so hard to see where this comes in from under the car. It is very tight underneath. I took various pics and would appreciate some insights. I saw various lines and some sensors, but could not tell what the actual "cooler" was.
5. Car had the "idiot scratch" on the drivers side hood edge from the windshield wipers; looks like prior owner tried to touch up, but not too well.
6. Under carriage was slightly dirty; may have seen a little Ohio salt roads. That can be washed off of course, but annoying none the less.
$58k is a little more pricey (but it is marketable based on my 300 mile radius research) and I would expect a $2.4k mile car to be in perfect / excellent condition. Maybe I am too picky. Any thoughts / comments would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.
