Hi everyone I have a 2017 GT, it has about 4k km on it now, sometimes at low speed when I brake there's a sort of a rubbing/whining sound that gets progressively louder as I press the brake. It only happens sometimes and only at low speed never at higher ones. Any advice on what could it be? It's a bit like rubbing something against a piece of rubber. Hard to describe as I've never heard a similar sound when braking on other cars.

No one has any insight or experience with this? It sounds a bit like a bus braking, perhaps this is a more accurate description, it only happens at low speeds and especially after I've driven through heavy traffic.

Thanks guys.

Bad wheel bearing? Does it get louder while hard cornering?
Or like metallic squeaking?

No, I can only hear it when braking from slow speeds. I tried reproducing it today, no luck..., It only happens after spending time in bumper to bumper traffic and braking from low speeds. If I accelerate a bit and brake again from a higher speed it goes away. No noises when cornering, and no metallic squeaking at all. It sounds a bit like rubber on rubber rubbing or perhaps like a bus braking.
