bah! that's what I was afraid of. That means more work and more money.... staying with the way rtr comes is prob what I'd stick with then. plus the all black rear on the CO (especially with my black roush spoiler) would look really good.

hmm!!!

can you do this one right quick to co please?!
CO doesn't come out too good. Not for a quick job, anyway. I can try messing with it a little more.

I think it honestly breaks up the lines with the skirts. If they we're to be color-matched all the way around I'd be interested!

RTR Advertises as such:

  • Features a Grained Texture

To get the right look I'd sand the hell out of it if it's getting color-matched
Removing the texture isn't as bad as it sounds. I've done it a few times with trim pieces. Sand it, hit it with a good filler primer and block it out and she's ready for paint. Smooth as glass.

Oh I'm not trying to get anyone to shy away from it. If you're comfy and have done the work before by all means. Just from previous experience with customers attempting to do this in their garage or backyard (Full Disclosure - Just take it to a shop )

Oh, I totally agree. Doing it in your driveway isn't the best idea. I just meant it's not horribly impossible and can be done. However, a body shop is certainly easier- especially if you don't have the right tools for the job.

I just hope I helped some people with visualizing it color-matched. Whether for the positive or negative.

yeah even knowing your photoshop wasn't spot on, on the co... i dunno if I'm feeling it still. i guess i see it as well why spend all that money for it to basically look the same with two extra fins on the rear...at least keeping it black is something different.

like i said though, definitely something that would just have to be seen in person.

Yeah, the PhotoShop was pretty bad. Sorry bud! I can mess with it more when I get home. Although, to be honest, I don't know if I'm feeling it either with CO.

well the valance is growing on me so much to where i'm considering not going corsa quad tip addon and gt350 valance...but ford wants $3k for valance and i'm doubtful on cd's replica when it comes to fitment from what has been going on with the R wing. The holes aren't perforated like they are on oem gt350 valance on cd's replica either.

the rtr while being a change would save me money lol...even knowing it's not cheap either and more than a full roush valance but it's growing on me.

Yeah, I really like the RTR diffuser. My first choice was Corsa quads with the GT350 valence, but damn... Ford won't sell it separate, so even the axle back kit is like $1,400. Plus another $380 for quad Corsa tips.

I don't like the Roush, personally, and this seems like a good alternative. Especially when considering the price. I'm having a hard time justifying almost $1,800 for just a plastic valance and tips when I really want to start focusing on the engine.

Took another crack at the CO. The orange just over-saturates the diffuser and it's shadows. No matter what I try.

I wish they would make a diffuser like this for the base cars. I really liked the RTR diffuser.

I like the painted stock piece... not so sure on this. I don't want an all plastic textured black rear lower valance, the more I look at them the more cheap it looks to me after having the painted premium piece. I also want quad tips. *sigh* nothing exists that fits all this criteria.
