I have that set up.Anyone in here running the Weld RT-S S71 with Baer brakes 11" rear brake kit?
What are you able to get the camber set to?It's an auto, works fine, I'm using a 275/60/15 tire and the wheel is really a bit narrow, but I've been 1.36 60 ft , would prefer a wider wheel nut it's my only option unless I go to the aed spindles. I'm gonna try some 17s and see which works better.
With the available rear camber products available, camber can be set to whatever you want. The only reason I can see going to the 15in setup is to meet a 275 requirement. Plenty of folks been 1.2x on a 17.What are you able to get the camber set to?
I'd love to hear how the 17's compare. Please keep me updated on that.
With a 15" wheel and not using the AED knuckle, getting to 0 or positive camber is an issue. That's why I asked what he was able to get his to.With the available rear camber products available, camber can be set to whatever you want. Post a pic of new welds!I hate to say it but to run a 15" wheel we really need to buy those AED spindles, but over 2k I cant justify at this time. It seems that the tires we need to run, or that fit well, we need a 10" wheel at minimum. I ran my 275/60s at 18 psi and the outer 2" of both sides was not even seeing a pattern, it actually looked like that part of the tire wasn't even being used. I probably can try and drop the tire psi to flatten it but im afraid the car will wonder too much, but that will be my next step on the 15" wheel combo.
On a side note it does look like I can cut about .200 off the flange of the wheel to create more backspace, but im gonna have to grind a few spots to do this. This will help the way the car looks but that's about all. Once I get the 17s on the car ill break down the 15" wheels and do that.
On another side note, I bought some of those 17" Weld Full Throttles and Hoosier 27.5 tires and they fit really nice and are super light, that combo was expensive but took almost 50 lbs off over Race Stars and Street M/T skinnies.
