I know it's been nearly as frustrating as the mustang and Ford have been pretty poor at communication again but at least now it's close!

But all car manufacturers are the same, it was like this with the New Civic Type-R last year and having the same issues with a BMW M2 order I have in at present too :headbonk:

I'm biased but early indications are that it is a ripper of a drive, and here in Australia it is less than $51k plus ORC and that compares very favourably with the German and UK prices when converted from EUR or GBP to Aussie dollars! Ford Australia with both the Mustang and Focus RS have priced aggressively when looking at historical pricing, suspect a response to no Ford manufacturing here at all in a few months. At 4.7 secs to 62mph it is pretty close to the Mustang GT isn't it. And AWD for the first time in a while too?

We're waiting for the local dealer to get a demo; my wife wants to replace her 2008 Audi S5 with a more practical car; needs power, 4/5 doors and she has a thing for AWD. Fits the bill and the 4-pot will be better on a run than the V8.

That.. or an Audi S3 saloon. Not sure, but we'll test and decide. Not a bad time to be an enthusiast eh.

Depend on the dealers allocations, ours isn't due for another 8 weeks but have seen one being delivered at a local dealer today

When I placed my order I asked the dealer about availability on Focus RS, she said it would be 12months for a Focus RS vs 8 months for a Mustang

Thanks. Yep, spoke to my local dealer for a test drive of the M2 (want to compare it with the 'stang before making final decision) and they have one that's just arrived.

See what an extra circa £7k gets you!

been a RS man all my days and sorry this car does nothing for me at all and that's one of the reasons I bought a new mustang I sold my much loved mk 2 focus RS last summer and still miss that car but hey ho mustang nearly here now so happy days

Loads of them at Silverstone today - I like it, although not as much as my Mustang. Definitely would be pretty near the top of the list if I was buying a hatch of that type.
