I see Ford UK have now got a brochure for the Focus RS on the website.

I thought it had the same EB engine as the Mustang, but it is more powerful - 350PS rather than 317PS. Top speed is a rather scary 165mph. 0-62 is 4.7 secs. Not bad for a base price of £29,000

Ford are not doing a great job with the marketing consistency are they; as standard it has "silver finish" wheels, with black being an option at £595.

Anyone considering a faster 5 door hatch for the same money as the EB mustang...?

Hell no. Nothing exciting me about that ;)

Bet there's a lot more effort goes into marketing that. Just one more thing to take their attention away from Mustang.

The RS is no match for the Mustang!!! But the power and 0-60 is bloody impressive! The price for the RS makes the Mustang look even better value IMO. Ok, it's more powerful than the Ecoboost but it's still a 5 door hatchback! Wonder how many of those they will sell?!

I had the older RS.
I did put my name down for the RS, but then changed my mind, because I think you will see more of them on the road.
That's the only reason I went with the mustang, will be more exclusive.

If only they had got rid of that ridiculous spoiler at the back! Otherwise seems a very accomplished piece of kit, especially when it costs less than a 'hairdressers' Audi TT.
